Verdict
It's hard to say anything bad about the JLab Go Pop ANC earbuds as they cost so little and yet offer so much. They deliver a solid sound, effective ANC, decent battery life, and a super comfortable fit. What's not to like?
The Good
- Compact & lightweight
- Variable ANC & Transparency mode
- Water & dust-resistant (IP55 rating)
- EQ Presets & 10-band custom EQ
The Bad
- Not much at this price
- No AAC codec support (SBC only)
- USB-C cable could be a potential weak point
Design & Comfort: Small, Lightweight, and Discreet
The JLab Go Pop ANC earbuds are among the smallest and lightest earbuds we’ve tested. Even their charging case is ultra-compact, measuring just over 2 inches wide, making it incredibly portable.

Each earbud weighs just over 4g, which is lighter than the Sony WF-C510’s—earbuds that cost twice as much. So that light weight, combined with the three different ear top sizes (small, medium and large) that you can choose from, makes this super comfortable to wear and almost feels like you’re not wearing them at all.
Their small size and weight makes them an especially good option if you have smaller ears. They’re also available in a variety of colors, which is a refreshing change from the the typical black (although they come in black too).
Controls & Features: Customizable & Easy to Use
Touch controls on each earbud control playback where each action can be customized through the JLab mobile app. You can assign functions like play/pause, track skipping, volume control, and ANC switching. The large flat touch surface on each earbud also makes activating controls easy and intuitive.

Other notable features include:
- Bluetooth 5.3 with multipoint support (connect two devices at once)
- IP55 water and dust resistance (great for workouts and outdoor use)
- SBC codec support only (no AAC, but still works well with iPhones and Androids)
Battery Life: Impressive for the Size
Battery life is another strong point. With ANC off, you get up to 7 hours of playback. Turning ANC on drops that to 6 hours. That’s still better battery life than the Apple Airpod 4 though, and they’re considerably more expensive than these. The charging case extends the total battery life to 24 hours without ANC and 21 hours with ANC.

Charging-wise you can get 1 hour of playback from just a 10 minute charge. Although it does take just under 2 hours to charge up to full. However, one of the most interesting aspects of these earbuds is the USB-C charging cable that is integrated into the case, which means you don’t need to worry about carrying an extra cable around. It’s convenient but also means that if the cable breaks, you’ll need a new case.
Sound Quality: Solid for the Price
Inside, the 10mm dynamic drivers deliver clear vocals, balanced mids, and decent bass. For those that want to tweak the sound further there are 3 preset EQ’s built unto the JLab mobile app as well as a 10-band customizable EQ for those that want even more control.

While these won’t compete with high-end earbuds, they deliver impressive audio clarity for their price. The Bass Boost mode does a decent job of increasing bass response and making genres like hip-hop and EDM more enjoyable.
Noise Cancelling & Transparency Mode: A Surprising Bonus
One of the standout features of the JLab Go Pop ANC earbuds is their active noise cancellation. What’s even more surprising is that it’s adjustable, a feature typically reserved for more expensive earbuds.
The ANC does a good job of reducing background noise, especially low-frequency sounds like traffic or air conditioning. It won’t match premium ANC earbuds, but at this price point, it’s a fantastic addition.

The Transparency mode, or what JLab calls ‘Be Aware’ mode, also features a variable slider, allowing you to control how much ambient sound you let in. While it does sound a bit artificial, it’s still functional and useful for situations where you need to stay aware of your surroundings.
Final Verdict: Should You Buy Them?
For just $30, the JLab Go Pop ANC earbuds offer tremendous value. They deliver solid sound, effective ANC, decent battery life, and a super comfortable fit—all in an ultra-compact design.
If you’re looking for the most feature-packed ANC earbuds at the lowest possible price, these are an easy recommendation.
