KKCOBVR Q3 Pro

KKCOBVR Q3 Pro Quest 3 Battery Head Strap
This the battery version of their non battery halo style head strap and so brings over all the pro’s and con’s that come with it. Overall it’s a very comfortable head strap that does a great job at distributing the weight of your headset across your forehead rather than on your face. It does suffer from the same issue that the Q3 suffered from though which was the narrowness of the forehead bar which makes it tight for those with a big head.
This head strap does add some upgrades though by adding padding to both the back pad and top strap which just makes this head strap even more comfortable to wear.
This head strap also adds a 10,000 mAh battery which is plenty of power for your Quest 3 or Quest 3S. This provides an extra 2 to 3 hours of gameplay on your Quest 3 or your Quest 3S. Adding the battery does make it a little tricky getting to the adjustment dial at the back of the head strap, which is more a nuisance than a real issue. What is more an issue is that the battery takes 3.5 hours to charge! So if you’re the type of person that wants continuous battery life, this headset probably isn’t for you. If you just want a couple of extra hours of playtime though then it’s not really an issue.
At a price of only $50, it is the cheapest battery head strap here, and so definitely worth a look.
Kiwi Design K4 Boost

Kiwi Design K4 Boost Quest 3 Battery Head Strap
This is the battery version of their K4 head strap, and literally just adds a battery integrated into the back of the head strap itself. That’s not a bad thing as their K4 head strap was already well made and comfortable to start with. With a padded top strap, nice thick foam, and a padded back pad too, it really is comfy to wear.
This head strap is more rigid in the arms than their non-battery version but still held up well in the stress test. It’s just less flexible.
The adjustment dial on the back of the head strap could be better as it has a tendancy to collapse on itself when the headset is held about it. Still, it’s not something that affects it in actual use.
The Kiwi Design K4 Boost does only come with a 5,300mAh battery, which is less than other options out there, but it will still provide you with one to two hours of extra gameplay extra on your headset. The advantage of that smaller battery is a lighter weight headset. It only weight 358g and so is 100g lighter than the KKCOB Q3 Pro for example.
This head strap also has the ability to dual charge. So if you plug this into a 45w charger it will charge not only the headset, but the battery on the head strap as well, at the same time! 22.5w of power to both! That’s an awesome feature to have on this head strap.
These retail for $70 but you can get it around $56 if you shop around.
Kiwi Design H4 Boost

Kiwi Design H4 Boost Quest 3 Battery Head Strap
This head strap offers the same battery as their K4 Boost battery head strap but in a halo style format.
The H4 Boost adds a unique spin on the forehead bar design of the head strap but hollowing it out and allowing it to pivot. This makes it adjust to your head better and also helps keep you alot cooler than a traditional halo style head strap which can make you quite hot.
It has the same dual pass through charging as the K4 Boost head strap. So, plugged into a 45w charger, this head strap will charge both your headset and your head strap at the same time. This is better than what cheaper head straps do where they charge the head strap which then charges the headset. Dual charging is definitely the way forward for faster, and safer, charging.
This halo style is more expensive and retails for $80 but can be bought for around $72 at the moment.
BinBok T3S Plus

Binbok T3S Plus Battery Head Strap for Quest 3/3S
This is Binbok’s brand new battery head strap, and not to be confused with their earlier ‘T3’ head strap.
It’s another elite style head strap with a wide padded top strap., although it does forego a padded back pad and reverts back to a silicone pad. Its adjustment dial works well though and keeps the head strap locked in place. It was still comfortable to wear, although I do prefer a padded back pad.
This head strap comes with not only two 8,000 mAh batteries and also a twin battery charger too! The batteries attach magnetically to the head strap and are easy to replace, even whilst wearing the head strap.
The head strap proved to have lots of flexibility and there were no issues with it during the stress test.
This does retail for $99, although it’s currently available for $90, and considering you get the head strap, 2 batteries, and the charging dock, that’s not a bad price at all.
BOBOVR S3 Pro

BOBOVR S3 Pro Quest 3 Battery Head Strap
BOBOVR are probably the most well-known brand for halo style head straps, with good reason. The rear back pad on the head strap is nice and big and can accommodate either the padded leather back pad, or the silicone honeycomb one that also comes with it. The forehead bar also fits nicely across my forehead, in spite of my large head.
There is also a variable speed fan that blows air through a vent built into the forehead bar of the head strap. This does a good job of providing air flow across your forehead to help keep you cool. At full speed the fan is quite noisy but at lower levels it’s a lot quieter and still provides some air flow for cooling,
On the side of the head strap is an LED display with an adjustment dial that allows you to adjust the speed of the fan adn shows you how fast it is running. That same LED display also shows you exactly how much lower is left in the battery in the head strap.
The S3 Pro comes with a single B100 battery providing 10,000mAh of power, giving you an extra 2 to 3 hours of gameplay on top of the battery life you get with your headset. And as these magnetically attach to your head strap that are easy to remove and replace. This is especially useful if you happen to buy another battery and want to keep replacing them for never ending playtime.
This head strap can therefore come in at different prices depending on how many batteries you want and whether you want a charging dock for them as well or not.
The base price for just the head strap and a single battery is $90. If you want another battery, that’s going to cost another $40. If you also want the charging dock, that’s another $40. So buying them all will set you back $170. So it’s not cheap, but there is a reason that you see so many people using them online.
