Both grip covers from Kiwi Design and BOBOVR are great accessories for your Quest 3 or 3S controller if you want to add more comfort and grip to them. However, each one is tailored to a slightly different type of person so one of these might be a better fit than the other.

The Kiwi Design controller grips are made of a soft silicone that fully wraps around the controllers. The cut-outs for the triggers are well fitting and the grip cover in general tightly fits your controller. The silicone has a textured finish to it that makes it easy to grip even with wet/sweaty hands.

There is also a translucent rim on the top of the grip cover that goes around the top of the controllers that helps ensure that the controllers stay in place and don’t go flying out of the grip covers at the first sign of action.
A rubberised strap then goes over your hand to keep the controller firmly in your hand. The hand strap is highly adjustable and can suit a range of hand sizes from small to large so is going to suit all but the largest and smallest of hands.

This all makes the grip covers incredibly comfortable to use, with no rubbing or discomfort, even after hours of use.
There is also a hole in the base of the grips that allow you to pass the default wrist strap of the controllers through so you can still wear it round your wrist. You can remove the wrist straps from your controllers if you want it, but the added security option is there if you want it.
One of the unique features of these grips covers is the integrated battery door. This gives easy access for replacing the batteries without have to take the grip cover off and on all the time. It’s a simple design that works well .

The Kiwi Design grip cover keeps a minimalist design that adds little extra bulk to the controllers. So these make a great option for anyone that wants to add extra comfort and security to their controller grips without making them bigger.
BOBOVR G3 Plus Controller Grips

BOBOVR G3 Plus Controller Grips
The BOBOVR G3 Plus controller grips are full silicone grip covers that easily slide onto the controllers with precise cut-outs for the trigger buttons. They have a textured finish to them which helps with added grip for when your hands get sweaty.

They also loop over the top of the controllers so that your controllers stay in place even during active gameplay without obstructing the motion sensors in the controller.
These grips do also come with some spare hand straps should you happen to break the ones already installed. I’ve never had to do that but it’s nice to have the back-up option there if it’s needed.
The hand strap is fairly adjustable so that it will suite most hand sizes, although it’s not as large a range as the Kiwi Design one. Still, for most people that’s not going to be an issue.
The BoboVR G3 Plus controller grips do add extra length to your controllers. So, if you have large hands, or find the controllers on their own quite small, then these grip covers are going to make the controllers more comfortable to use.

The G3 Plus Grips don’t have a battery compartment door, like the Kiwi Design one. So there is not way to access the battery compartment without taking the grip cover on and off. So if you have standard or rechargeable batteries that need to be replaced each time your controller runs out of power, then taking these off and on all the time could get annoying.

However, these grip covers are designed to work with BOBOVR’s D3 Charging Dock. That comes with rechargeable batteries for the controllers, that are designed so that they can be wirelessly charged from the charging dock, even with these grip covers installed! So these are great grip cover options if you thinking about getting, or already have, that charging dock.
Which to buy?
From a price perspective there really isn’t anything to choose between them as they both cost around $25, and each one has their pro’s and con’s that make each suited to different people.
If you don’t have BOBOVR D3 charging dock, or have no intention of getting one, or you’ve got small hands, or you like the Quest 3 controller as they are at the moment but just want a little bit more comfort to it, then the Kiwi Design controller grip makes more sense as it is more compact, and makes replacing standard batteries super easy.
Alternatively, if you do have, or are getting, the BOBOVR D3 charging dock, or maybe just want your controllers to feel larger as you have big hands and are willing to compromise on the inconvenience of having to take it off to replace the batteries, then the BOBOVR G3 Plus controller grips are a better option.
