Oblik Quest 3 Facial Interface
If you want the best facial interface for your Meta Quest 3, to give you optimal comfort, then welcome to Oblik! They use a 3D scan of your face to create a custom molded facial interface that exactly matches the contours of your face. This could be the most comfortable, best fitting, and most expensive, facial interface you’ve ever had!

The Oblik facial interface
The Oblik facial interface is compatible with both clamshell and halo style head straps. I also haven’t found a charging dock that it isn’t compatible with either.
There is no depth adjustment on it, like there is with the default Quest 3 facial interface. That’s not an issue though as the 3D scan of your face enables Oblik to create a facial interface that is obtimally distanced for your face.

Vents in the top of the Oblik facial interface help hot air escape so that cooler air can be drawn in. This not only helps you stay cool but also helps stop the lenses on the Quest 3 from fogging up.
Oblik have opted for a silicone face pad which has several advantages. It’s hypoallergenic so it’s not going to cause any skin irritation, and it adheres to your face well without rubbing, even when you get hot! As a result of this you don’t have to clamp your head strap so tightly against your face as the facepad stays in place better than most.

One huge advantage of a custom made facial interface is light leakage, or rather the lack of it. This is as close to complete blackout as you can get. I didn’t notice any light disrupting my gameplay. Even with the screen turned off it’s completely black. No light was streaming in through the air vents, with only the tiniest amount of light visible near the base of my nose. This is light control done exceptionally well.
How to get one
As these are custom-made they need to be ordered directly from Oblik. The whole process is pretty quick and painless though as you just download the Oblik app onto your mobile phone, scan your face, and then place an order with it. Job done!

There are plenty of customisation options available when ordering the facial interface. You can change the color, and specify whether you use prescription lenses or not so that they know to accomodate for that.
Oblik include a guarantee that it will fit your face exactly, and if there are any issues they will work with you to try and resolve it. It’s good to know that the guarentee is there, but I never had to use it.
Should you buy it?
If facial interfaces were cars then the Oblik facial interface would be a Formula One racing car. Expensive, but custom-molded to provide you with the best fit you could ever get. So, at $89, it is expensive, but if you’re the one that mainly plays on the Quest 3, then it’s money well spent.

However, if lots of different people play on your Quest 3, then a more generic facial interface makes more sense, such as those from AMVR and Kiwi Design.
The catch
In order to buy one you need to use your their mobile app which is only available for IOS devices. So, if you don’t have an iPhone then you’re not going to be able to order one. Unless you can borrow a friends one to do it that is.
Oblik also currently only ship to US addresses. They are planning on extending that further, and have started shipping to other addresses such as Canada, but it is largely US only for now. Check out Oblik’s website for the latest information on this – www.oblikdesign.com
